Professor Watson teaches courses on World Civilization and the Senior Seminar in History. His research interests include medieval cross-cultural topics (convergences in the history of the West, the Islamic world, and Russia) and twentieth-century international relations in the era of World War II and the Cold War. Professor Hill teaches courses on World Civilization, Europe in the Nineteenth and Twentieth
Centuries, and several interdisciplinary topics. He also serves as faculty advisor to the Alpha Alpha Rho chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, the history
honors society. His scholarly interests include the rise and fall of the Crusader states, the international falsification of history for political
purposes, and the role of social misfits in political movements.
