University offers a degree program in Allied Health with a specialization in
Nuclear Medicine Technology. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist uses
radioactive materials to diagnose and treat disease. The Technologist utilizes
gamma cameras, uptake probes and other specialized equipment to obtain
information about the structure and function of virtually every major organ
system of the body. Upon completion of the program the graduate is eligible
for the national certification exam in nuclear medicine technology.
