Anything you want to know about Spain can be found at this site. Click on the region and then on the city you want. Information on all aspects of most cities; try Valencia or Sevilla. Unfortunately, Madrid sometimes seems to be under construction.

Here is a fine website to visit. Good cultural information in atracciones turísticas, perhaps a reading comprehension exercise in historia. It's even fun to see pictures of the president's family and describe them in Spanish.

These are stories, beautifully illustrated, for children. They would be a wonderful reading assignment for young students or beginners and a great writing assignment for older ones who could imitate the style and create their own stories.

Museo del Prado

A visit worth taking for those even mildly interested in art. Visitas will let you go to different rooms and see what is there. Mirar un cuadro will explain a particular picture. You can even see a map of the city and decide what is near the museum and how to get there.

Rivera Virtual Museum

Available in both Spanish and English versions, this elegant and rich website highlights the beauty and passion of noted Mexican muralist and activist Diego Rivera. You can learn about his life, view many artworks, tour a Live 3D gallery, and explore his writing. Use this as the heart to a multicultural arts education/social studies/language arts activity.

This is an online newspaper which is always up-to-date so it is easy to pick out something the you have heard of in English and read and comment on it in Spanish. For instance, try some of the interviews of movie stars.
