English as a major, can lead a graduate into many different fields. The English program at Immaculata acquaints you with important literature, literary criticism, research skills, and non-print media, and develops proficiency in written and spoken English, providing the tools to communicate effectively -- a valuable skill in any career.
The major in Communication prepares students for a variety of career opportunities by ensuring their ability to communicate effectively both in speech and in writing and providing them with hands-on experiences in their chosen area of emphasis. While continuing Immaculata's long standing emphasis on the importance of the liberal arts, the major in communication provides a broad foundation for advanced study and for employment in the areas of communication.
