Communication Overview

Communication is the most versatile major!  If you are considering this major, you will be prepared for the workforce in any environment.  Whether your interest is in sales, journalism, broadcasting, public relations, special events, or marketing this is the place for you to study and grow.

Our communication majors are the most prepared for their discipline, due to the writing influence in a dual English/Communication department, as well as being required to take an internship prior to graduation.   If you are unable to get transportation for your internship, we have communication opportunities right here at Immaculata!

The activities in our department are endless.  Join our honor society, Lambda Pi Eta, or write for the Immaculatan, or our literary magazine. You could also broadcast for our radio station.

Some of the many careers resulting from a communication degree are:

Public relations representative

Sales representative

Corporate trainer

Manager

Marketing representative

Broadcast journalist

Reporter

Writer

Editor

Producer

Special events coordinator

Product manager

Disc Jockey

Corporate consultant
