Elementary/Special Education (K-12)Certification Requirements

Students who are preparing to pursue dual certification in elementary and special education may have a field of concentration in one of the following academic subject areas:

Required Courses

The following courses are incorporated into the subject area degree requirements in order to prepare you for the classroom. Please note that the undergraduate Special Education must be combined with Elementary Education. Students must sit for and receive a satisfactory score on the Special Education Praxis Examinations to be eligible for teacher certification.
