Early Childhood Education Certification Requirements
Students who are preparing to teach in early childhood and preschool settings may have a field of concentration in one of the following academic subject areas:
- English
- Family and Consumer Science
- French
- History
- Mathematics
- Music
- Psychology
- Sociology
- Spanish
- Theology
Required Courses
The following courses are incorporated into the subject area degree requirements in order to prepare you for the classroom. Students must sit for and receive a satisfactory score on the Early Childhood Education Praxis Examinations to be eligible for teacher certification.
