Aims
The knowledge you will gain through your study of chemistry at Immaculata University, combined with IU's strong foundation in the liberal arts, will prepare you for a variety of career oppurtunities in research, industry, education, medicine, allied health fields, and nutrition. Our programs also provide you the basis for graduate study at the cutting edge of modern chemsitry.
The Chemistry Department offers courses which:
- provide a basic foundation in chemical concepts for liberal arts students, allied health science students, and nutrition majors;
- provide science majors with the required professional training for medical school, careers in education and industrial research;
- impart a basic understanding of the physical and chemical processes of living systems at the molecular level to students concentrating in science and to student nurses.
